WORCESTER, Mass. - After Day 2 of the 2025 NEWMAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, Coast Guard sits in fourth place with 265 points.
The Bears finished fourth in both of the day's relay events. The event-opener was the 200-yard freestyle relay, in which the team of
Ellie Hiestand (Telford, Pa.),
Samantha Halvorson (Chesapeake, Va.),
Kathleen O'Shea (Decatur, Ga.), and
Grace Keogh (Erie, Colo.) swam 1:37.07; later, in the night-closing 400-yard medley relay, the team of
Isabel Robey (Warrenton, Va.), Hiestand, Keogh and Roberson posted a 3:54.20.
Halvorson and Robey also competed in individual events during the day, with the former placing tenth in the 50-yard freestyle at 24.39 and the latter taking seventh in the 200-yard individual medley at 2:09.01. Just behind Robey in the 200 IM was
Madelyn Paxton (Mechanicsburg, Va.) at 2:09.49.
Mikayla Jolley (Las Vegas, Nev.) was Coast Guard's only other individual competitor, placing ninth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:17.00.

The 2025 NEWMAC Championships will be underway again tomorrow, with trials starting at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. Events will include the 400-yard individual medley, the 100-yard butterfly, the 200-yard freestyle, the 100-yard breaststroke, and the 200-yard medley relay.
