WORCESTER, Mass. - The opening night of the 2025 NEWMAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championship featured Coast Guard finding the podium in the lone swimming event of the night.
The Bears placed third in the 800-yard freestyle relay following a 7:47.48 performance by the team of
Grace Keogh (Erie, Colo.),
Samantha Halvorson (Chesapeake, Va.),
Isabel Robey (Warrenton, Va.), and
Mikayla Jolley(Las Vegas, Nev.). MIT won the event with an NCAA B-cut time of 7:22.27, while Wheaton (Mass.) was the runners-up at 7:39.28.
Coast Guard exits the inaugural day of competition in third place after accumulating 56 points. Full standings are written below:

The 2025 NEWMAC Women's Championships will resume tomorrow with trials scheduled for 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.; events will include the 200-yard freestyle relay, 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, 1-meter diving, and the 400-yard medley relay.
