NEW LONDON, Conn. --
The sailing team closed out its final dinghy weekend of the fall season with competition 
across four major events: the 84th Professor Erwin Schell Trophy hosted by MIT, the 
Victorian Urn Trophy hosted by Harvard, the Nickerson Trophy hosted by Tufts, and the 
ICSA Small Keelboat Regatta hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy. The Bears faced a wide 
range of conditions throughout the weekend as they wrapped up their conference 
championship schedule. 
Cambridge, MA – 84th Professor Erwin Schell Trophy (MIT) 
The Bears placed 11th overall at the 84th Professor Erwin Schell Trophy (the NEISA Open 
Conference Championship). A Division finished in 14th and B Division took 11th. The event 
saw challenging and inconsistent conditions, with several races abandoned due to major 
shifts and lulls that created unfair racing scenarios. Fourteen races were completed in 
each division.

Boston, MA – Victorian Urn Trophy (Harvard)
 At the Victorian Urn Trophy, hosted by Harvard, the Bears placed 12th overall. This regatta 
is the NEISA Women's Conference Championship. A Division finished 13th, while B 
Division secured 9th. Despite several races being called off due to large, unpredictable 
wind shifts, the team managed to complete 12 races in total.

Medford, MA – Nickerson Trophy (Tufts) 
The Bears earned a 10th-place overall finish at the Nickerson Trophy hosted by Tufts 
University. The Nickerson Trophy is an all-freshmen regatta, highlighting the future of 
college sailing as first-year sailors take to the water in competitive racing. Coast Guard's A 
Division performed strongly, taking 5th place and breaking a tie with the University of 
Michigan, while B Division placed 12th.

Annapolis, MD – ICSA Small Keelboat Regatta (Navy) 
At the ICSA Small Keelboat Regatta, the Bears fielded two teams, finishing 8th and 9th 
overall in a competitive fleet. Light winds characterized the weekend, limiting racing to five 
total races. Despite the conditions, both teams displayed strong boat-handling and 
teamwork throughout the event.

Looking Ahead 
Next weekend, the Bears return to Annapolis to compete in the prestigious Kennedy Cup, 
the National Championship for collegiate big-boat sailing, marking the final event of the fall 
season.
