BOSTON, Mass. - This Thursday, CGA Sailing will be competing in the 2024 ICSA Open Team Race National Championship hosted by MIT and Harvard.

Coast Guard Sailing is one of 10 at-large selections for this year's championship and is seeded 7th. This is the second year in a row CGA has been selected to compete in the Team Race National Championship. Team Racing consists of 3 vs 3 racing; three boats on each team racing against each other to have the lowest overall score.

The ICSA Team Race Championship begins at 1100 Thursday, with a round robin of all 16 Teams before moving on to additional round robins. Racing will be livestreamed on ESPN+ starting at 1 PM on Friday and 10 AM on Saturday.

CGA Sailing is returning many sailors from last year's 8th place finish including three skippers and four crews. CGA Sailing will be represented by Jin Johnson, Lauren O'Neill, Daniel Unangst, Jack Derry, Daniel Neville, Nic Reeser, Colman Schofield, Laura Slovensky and Charles Pohl.
