Charles Norman were the first point on the board for Coast Guard with an 8-1 win. Connecticut College evened the scoreÂ
at 1-1Â with an 8-3 win at 3
rddoubles. In the most competitive contest of the day,
Sean Dreher and Ben Bonetto came back from a break down to win 8-7 at 2
nd doubles.
In Singles Action,
Charles Norman extended the lead to 3-1 after being up 5-0 in the first set. His opponent had to pull out with an injury. The Camels struck back with straight set victories at 3
rd, 5
th, and 6
th singles. Freshman Ben Bonetto had a straight set victory of his own at 4
th singles, tying the scoreÂ
at 4-4.
Myles Decoste clinched the 5
th point for the Bears with 6-3, 6-3 victory at 1
st singles in the final deciding match of the day.
