Weber's Career High in Goals Leads Bears to Win

Box Score PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Women's Lacrosse was on the road taking on Johnson & Wales, with Laine Weber's career high four goals boosting the Bears over the Wildcats with a final score of 14-6.

The opening quarter, CGA scored two goals in the span of 28 seconds. The Bears were quickly up 2-0 only two minutes into the game. The Wildcats didn't get their first goal until the 6:50 mark, but the Bears put it back up by two just 40 seconds later. By the time the first 15 came to a close, Coast Guard was already leading, 5-1.

CGA scored five more times to JWU's one, making the score 10-2 heading into the break.

Each team added one more in the third, the score 11-3 going into the final quarter. Coast Guard put the game away by adding another three in the final quarter, locking down the 14-6 win.

Weber led both teams with her four goals. Caitlyn Coates and Abby McCallister each had three for CGA. Maici Mintchwarner recorded six saves for the Bears.

Coast Guard will next play at home on March 9th, hosting University of Hartford at 12 PM.
