NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — 

United States Coast Guard Academy women's lacrosse seniors Abby McAllister (Pleasantville, N.Y.) and Rowan Walsh (Hampstead, N.Y.) have been selected as All-Berkshire Region honorees by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). The nods make them eligible for IWLCA All-American status, the recipients of which will be announced on May 22nd.

Just two days after being named a USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American, McAllister picks up her first career All-Region nod. The senior attack paced the league in points per game with 7.41 and goals per game with 4.29, the former if which leads the nation. Her stellar senior campaign led to her being named the 2026 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Player of the Year

Walsh also picks up her first All-Region nod in recognition of being a key part on the NEWMAC's top defense. The USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American helped the Bears lead the conference with 7.00 goals allowed per game and 12.47 caused turnovers per game. Coast Guard's goals allowed rate was 19th in the country. She was a NEWMAC First Team All-Conference selection thanks to her play

Both cadet-athletes were central cogs to a historic year for USCGA women's lacrosse. The team went 14-3 overall and 9-1 in NEWMAC play, both of which were program records, on the way to the first NEWMAC Championship Game appearance in program history. The team also picked up program-first wins over Babson College and Springfield College along the way.
