Men's Lacrosse Can't Keep Up with Maritime

Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. - Men's Lacrosse hosted Maritime in only their second home game of the season, unable to keep up with the Privateers, falling with a final of 13-7.

The Bears started off strong, putting up the first two goals of the game. Mason LaForte scored first, followed by Ryan Hunter. Maritime cut the lead in half with a little over two and a half remaining in the first. With a minute to go, the game was tied at two.

The defense of Coast Guard struggled to contain Maritime, as the Privateers put up eight goals to the Bears' one. Heading into the break, CGA was trailing, 10-3.

Coast Guard got the first goal of the back half, coming from Ian Feely. However, Maritime added two more.

Into the final quarter, the Bears outscored the Privateers, three goals to one. It wouldn't be enough as CGA dropped the game, 13-7.

Feely and Eric Key led the Bears in scoring with two a piece. Hunter led CGA in assists with two. Dustin Miller had nine saves for the Bears, while Matt Reheuser had seven.

Coast Guard will next play at Salve Regina, the beginning of conference play, on March 16th at 1 PM.
