Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. - Men's Lacrosse hosted Trinity, struggling to find a consistent rhythm throughout the game, falling to the Bantams with a final score of 17-11.
The Bears were outscored 7-2 in the first quarter, despite the first goal going in favor of the Bears, scored by
Patrick Smith. Trinity then tied it up and pulled away, Coast Guard getting its second goal early in the quarter and unable to stop the Bantams.
Quarter two saw the scoring going in favor of the Bears, outscoring the Bantams, 5-4. CGA game within four, but still trailed, 11-7 heading into halftime.
The third quarter began with Trinity adding to it's lead. Coast Guard got one back off a goal by
Eric Key, but the Bantams pulled away once again. Heading into the final 15, CGA was trailing, 16-10.
To open up the last quarter, Coast Guard cut it back to five as
Ben Nocerito found the back of the net. The lead was extended back to six when Trinity scored with just over three minutes to go in the game. Neither team scored again, ending it at 17-11.
