Box Score NEW LONDON , Conn. - Women's Lacrosse hosted Endicott in their third game of the season, suffering their first loss with a final score of 15-6.
The Bears found themselves down within the first 30 seconds of the game a the Gulls put up the first point. CGA battled back to tie it up with just under eight minutes to go in the first with a goal by
Caitlyn Coates.
Coast Guard was once again battling from behind as Endicott took a 3-1 lead with goals 24 seconds apart. The Gulls added one more before the Bears scored again, this time by
Addy Bass, to cut it back to a two point lead. With another goal by EC, CGA was trialing, 5-2, heading into the second quarter.
Endicott began to pull away for the majority of the second, going up by six. However, Coates added two more in less than a minute to bring Coast Guard back within four heading into halftime.
The third quarter started with Endicott adding another. Coast Guard matched it with a goal by
Isabella Judge, cutting the Gulls' lead back to four. With two more goals by EC, the score was 11-5.
The fourth quarter saw five goals, one by Coast Guard and four by Endicott for a final score of 15-6.
Coates led the Bears in goals with three.
Mia Becker and
Rowan Walsh led in ground balls for CGA with two a piece.
Coast Guard will play at home on March 2nd, hosting Merchant Marine at 12 PM.
