WORCESTER, Mass. - Men's Basketball face Clark over the weekend, suffering its fourth loss of the season with a final score of 76-64.
After a slow start to the game for CGA, where they didn't score until over three minutes in, the Bears were able to find their rhythm after a three by
Mitch Shettles. From there, Coast Guard added on another three by
Declan Rooney and two free throws by
Luke Farrell to give the Bears their first lead of the game.Â
CGA only gave up the lead one other time in the first half coming at the 13:32 mark, but the Bears quickly regained control when Rooney splashed his second three. Coast Guard held the lead for the remained of the first 20, going into halftime up 35-33.
the Bears carried their momentum into the first four minutes of the second half, but lost steam as the Cougars jumped out in front and held the lead until the final buzzer.
Shettles led the Bears in scoring with 12, followed by Rooney with 11 and
Ben Yagey with 10. Cameron Borwn recorded five rebounds and five assists for CGA.
Coast Guard now stands at an overall record of 8-4 and a conference record of 1-2. The Men will host MIT on January 9th at 7 PM.Â
