Box Score HARTFORD, Conn. - Coast Guard Women's Volleyball traveled to Hartford tonight and faced the Trinity College Bantams, going all the way to five sets and taking the 3-2 dub. 

In set one, CGA led the majority of the set. Trinity was able to bring it to 21-19, but this would be as close as they would get. Bears would take the first set 25-21. They would finish set one with 17 kills as a team. 

In set number two, Bears took control early. At 8-7. Bears would take and keep the lead for the rest of the set. They would end up with a seven point win of 25-18. 

The third set would be close in the beginning, but Trinity would start to pull away, leading by as much as seven. The Bantams would force a fourth set, taking set three 25-18.

Kicking off the fourth set, Bears got on the board first and even led the Bantams by as much as eight. However, Trinity battled their way back and ended up winning set four 27-25 and forcing a fifth set.

In the final set, the Bantams got on the scoreboard first, but the Bears would then score seven straight points to lead 7-1. At game point, Trinity would find themselves down 14-7. The Bears would clench a 15-7 victory off of a Trinity error and take the match 3-2.

Bears had 54 kills as a team for all three sets and eight aces. Sophia Galdamez led both teams and had a season high 25 kills. Maeve Duffin led her team in assists with 36 and in digs with 21.

This is the Bears sixth straight win and they look to make it seven as they face Johnson & Wales at home this Saturday, Sept. 16th. at 4:00 PM.
