NEW LONDON, Conn. - Yesterday, The United Soccer Coaches announced the College Team Academic Award winners, recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year. 

A total of 814 soccer teams (314 men, 500 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher to earn this award. Coast Guard was one of the 184 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized.

The Coast Guard Women's Soccer Team coached by Susan Grant made the list and had a team average of 3.30.

On the Men's Soccer Team coached by Chris Parsons, the team made the United Soccer Coaches Academic list with a team average of 3.29.
