KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
The United Soccer Coaches Division III All-Region teams were announced on Tuesday, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy men's soccer team found representation through junior midfielder
Cole Miller (Annapolis, Md.), who received a Third Team nod for his first career All-Region selection.
Miller experienced a breakout season this past fall, recording team-highs and single-season bests of six goals and 13 points. His efforts resulted in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) First Team All-Conference selection, the first All-NEWMAC honors of his career.
An offensively proficient midfielder thanks to his athleticism and strong finishing ability, Miller has become a player who lives for the big moments. After scoring the golden goal in Coast Guard's 2024 NEWMAC Tournament First Round win against Emerson, he went on to take a share of the league lead in game-winning goals this past season.
One of those game-winners came was an 89th minute header against conference foes Worcester Polytechnic Institute, which lifted the Bears to a 2-1 victory and improved their record to 2-0-1 in league play. Just a week later, Miller recorded his first career brace in a 2-0 win at Emerson College, earning him a NEWMAC Athlete of the Week nod for his showing against an in-conference opponent.
CGA men's soccer is currently looking ahead to their 2026 season, and Miller will be part of a strong junior class looking to continue a recent trend of success that has seen the program reach the NEWMAC Tournament Semifinals in each of the past three seasons.
