Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. - Women's Lacrosse continued their hot streak as they took down Wheaton, 14-9, to remain undefeated in conference.
The Bears got things rolling in right from the start as Brenda Anderson scored six minutes into the game. Gianna Cascio got the second goal with five minutes left in the first. The Bears defense kept the Lyons off the board for the entire first 15 minutes.
In the second quarter, Wheaton got its first goals of the game, but Coast Guard answered with three of its own. Anderson and Cascio each got their second of the game and Sarah Skurat had one.
Heading into halftime, CGA was leading, 5-3.
The third quarter saw the most goals for the Bears. Anderson got the period underway by getting her third goal of the game two minutes in. Abby McAllister got one of her own a minute and a half later. Caitlyn Coates put one in, followed by Anderson with her fourth. Cascio and Addy Bass also scored in the quarter.
Wheaton tried to come back, but Coast Guard held them off while also adding to its lead. Cascio got her fourth of the game and Shannon Schmidt got two.
CGA took the win and advanced to 4-0 in conference.
Coast Guard will take on MIT at 6 PM on April 12th.
