Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. - Women's Lacrosse hosted Mount Holyoke Wednesday night in the last regular season home game, getting the 17-3 win.
Coast Guard set the tone from the very beginning, never giving Mount Holyoke a chance.
Six goals in the first 15 minutes for the Bears showed the dominating offense. Brenda Anderson got the first goal in less than a minute of play. Abby McAllister had two of the other goals, Addy Bass and Laine Weber each had one.
Heading into the second quarter, CGA was leading, 6-1.
CGA matched the goals in the second, adding another six. Gianna Cascio, Sarah Skurat, McAllister, Caitlyn Coates, Bass, Aislinn Murray and Shannon Schmidt all contributed to the 12-1 lead heading into halftime.
The third quarter, the Bears put up four goals. Skurat scored in the first 50 seconds, followed by Schmidt a minute and half later. The Lyons got two, but the Bears answered with another of their own by Weber.
The last 15 minutes were the slowest for the Bears, but still got one more to put the nail in the coffin. Hannah Warnke scored the 17th goal of the game.
Skurat and McAllister led both teams in scoring with three.
The Bears now stand at 10-4 overall and 6-1 in conference.
Coast Guard will take on Babson on April 22nd at 12 PM.
