Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn - Women's Lacrosse hosted Clark in their first home conference game of the season, dominating the Cougars to get the 21-3 win.
Despite the Cougars getting the first goal, it was the only lead they had. Addy Bass tied it up for CGA and the game was controlled by the Bears from there. CGA outscored CU, 5-1, in the first quarter. Riley Shipman and Sarah Skurat had a goal apiece, while Gianna Cascio had two in the first 15.
The second quarter, the Bears did even more damage. They outscored the Cougars, 8-2. Heading into halftime, CGA was leading, 13-3.
Coast Guard kept Clark off the board for the entirety of the second half while adding eight to its lead.
Eleven different Bears recorded at least one goal on the day. Laine Weber, Skurat and Caitlyn Coates led in scoring for CGA with three each. Addy Bass, Brenda Anderson, Cascio and Aislinn Murray all had two. Riley Shipman, Isabella Judge, Fiona McCartin and Abby McAllister got one each.
The win puts the Bears at 2-0 in conference and 5-3 overall.
Coast Guard will play host Maritime (N.Y.) on March 29th at 4 PM.
