Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Men's Lacrosse opened up New England Women and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play today at home against Babson.
Despite a second half comeback, the Bears effort would not be enough and they would fall to the Beavers, 16-8.
In the first half, the Bears could not seem to find their groove and would be down seven to nothing going into the second half.
However, CGA was able to get on the board with a Ryan Hunter goal at 9:08 in the third. Patrick Smith would score another with one second left in the quarter, for a score of 10-2 to start the final 15.
The Bears were able to put up five more goals in the final quarter, but their efforts would not be enough. CGA would ultimately fall 16-8 to Babson.
Taylor Gustafson led the Bears in scoring with three on the day, Caleb Holdridge followed with two. Ryan Flynn, Patrick Smith, and Ryan Hunter all had one goal apiece.
Goalie Dan Lucas recorded 17 saves.
The Bears look to improve their record as they hit the road to play Wesleyan at 6 PM on Wednesday, March 22nd.
