BEVERLY, Mass. -- Women's Lacrosse was up the whole first half against Endicott yesterday evening but would ultimately fall 12-8 in the end. 

In the first two minutes of the game, CGA got on the scoreboard first with a Caitlyn Coates goal. The Bears would get three up on the Gulls before allowing them to score. A Sarah Skurat goal with an assist from Brenda Anderson would make the score 2-0 at 13:00 left in the game, followed by a Shannon Schmidt goal assisted by Skurat to make the score 3-0. The Bears would hold off the Gulls for a majority of the first quarter until Alex Palermo would score with a little over five minutes left in the first.

The Bears would start the second quarter only up by one for a score of 5-4. In the second quarter the Bears and Gulls would have a back-and-forth battle taking the lead, but would ultimately finish the first half of play tied 6-6.

Despite scoring first in the 3rd, the Bears would not be able to hold off the Gulls offense and would allow them to lead 10-7 going into the final quarter of the game.

A Coates goal assisted by Anderson with 10:30 left in the game would be the final time the Bears would score. Bears would drop this road game 12-8. 

Goalie Devon McCue would have 12 saves on the day. CGA recorded 14 ground balls and 11 draw controls. Coates led her team with six goals, followed by Schmidt and Skurat with one a piece. 

Coast Guad Women's Lax will hit the road once again this Saturday, at 12 PM as they face Merchant Marine.
