Box Score 2 NEW LONDON, Conn-- Coast Guard volleyball swept Western Connecticut 3-0 and Elms 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at home for the Bears and Camels Invitational. The Bears improve to 7-1 on the season.

Coast Guard swept Western Connecticut in three sets (25-23, 25-17, 25-17).
Carlee Lingle had a team-high seven kills and Sarah Somer had six kills to lead the Bears. Shannon Shaw and Allie Wildsmith both had five kills as Wildsmith hit .400%. Kaela France led Coast Guard defensively with a game-high 22 digs. Noelle Tursky tallied a game-high 20 assists.
Anna Cascapera had a game-high 10 kills for West Conn, Sydney Slupatchuk had a team-high eight digs, and Rory McMaster tallied a game-high 15 assists.
CGA 3 ELMS 0
The Bears defeated Elms 3-0 in their second match of the day (25-22, 25-18, 25-16).
Shaw had a team-high eight kills and 11 digs. France had a team-high 15 digs. Maeve Duffin and Tursky both had 12 assists.
Jaylianne Ramos Figueroa and Laura Jensen each had seven kills to lead Elms. Jaylen Holman had a game-high 15 assists.
The Bears are back in action on Tuesday night when they host Merchant Marine at 6 PM.
