Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Bears had a trio of three goal scorers leading Coast Guard to its third straight win a 16-6 win over Clark in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game.
The Bears improve to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference while Clark drops to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the NEWMAC.
Katherine Pittman, Madison Seguin and Sarah Skurat each scored three goals in the win while Pittman and Skuart also added a pair of assists each.
Addy Bass and Laine Weber also scored a pair of goals for Coast Guard.
Devon McCue made seven saves and allowed five goals in just over 50 minutes of action to get the win while Maici Mintchwarner made two saves and allowed one goal over the final 9:35.
The Bears led 2-1 after one quarter and would score four straight goals in the second quarter to break a 2-2 tie taking a 6-2 lead. Coast Guard led 6-3 at halftime.
After a Clark goal to start the second half, the Bears put the game away with five consecutive goals the final two by Pittman for an 11-4 lead with 5:05 left in the third. Coast Guard led 11-5 after three.
Seguin scored a pair of goals in the first two minutes of the fourth quarter as Coast Guard would score four more goals in the final quarter.
The Bears are back in action on Wednesday night when they host archrival Merchant Marine at 7:00.
