Box Score KINGS POINT, N.Y. – Junior Caleb Holdridge became the sixth player in program history to record 100 career points as he had three goals and three assists leading Coast Guard to a convincing 17-4 win over archrival Merchant Marine.
He finished the game with exactly 100 career points with 62 goals and 38 assists.
The Bears improve to 5-3 on the season while the Mariners drop to 3-4.
Gaige Kruger led the Bears with four goals while adding two assists while Ian Feely added a pair of goals for Coast Guard.
Dan Lucas made eight saves to get the win in goal for the Bears.
The Bears jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first quarter on goals by Ryan Flynn, Feely and Holdridge.
The Mariners would score the first goal of the second quarter before the Bears answered with four straight goals to take a 7-1 lead with 5:49 left in the half.
Merchant Marine would score the final two goals of the half to cut the deficit to 7-3 at the half as six different Coast Guard players scored a goal in the opening half and Feely led the way with two first half goals.
Coast Guard would outscore the Mariners 4-1 in the third taking an 11-4 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Bears are back in action at Trinity on Wednesday night at 6:00.
