Box Score NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Falcons of Albertus Magnus College outscored the Bears 10-8 in the five-minute overtime period to secure the win, 84-82. With the loss, the Bears drop to 1-4; the Falcons improve to 3-0.
Glory Blethen led the Bears with a double-double, 19 points and 12 rebounds. Dorothy Stotts led the scoring with a career-high 22 points off the bench, going seven of nine from 3. Jacquline Ward added 16 points and Kira Wood 10.
The Bears led by three heading in to halftime, after holding the Falcons to just two points in the second quarter. The Bears outscored the Falcons again in the third quarter, 19-13. However, the Falcons went on a run in the fourth, outscoring the Bears 35-26 to tie the game at 74-74 to end regulation.
The Bears shot 42.3% from three while holding the Falcons to just 21.7% from beyond the arc. However, Albertus Magnus held the advantage in field goal percentage (42.5%-38.0%) and free throw percentage (73.9%-64.7%).
The Bears are back in action on Wednesday, November 30 as they host Trinity College at 7 PM.
