Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn.-- Coast Guard had 10 different goal-scorers as women's lacrosse defeated Clark 20-0 in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon on Senior Day. The Bears are now 2-0 overall and in NEWMAC play, while Clark drops to 0-3 overall and in the conference.
Junior Katherine Pittman led the Bears with four goals, tying her career-high, and one assist. Senior Etta Davis and freshman Maria del Rosario Chan both added three goals. Freshman Addy Bass, Jenna Lesiewicz, and senior Haley McCue tallied a pair of goals each. Junior Katherine DeHart, sophomore Gianna Cascio, freshman Sarah Skurat, and senior Mary Ellis Goins wrapped up the scoring for the Bears with a goal each.
The Bears had a 10 goal lead in the first half and added 10 more in the second half for the 20-0 final.
Coast Guard held a 40-6 advantage in shots, 36-12 advantage in ground balls, and won 11 of 20 draws.
Senior goalkeepers Rebecca Dolan and Mary Budri split time in the cage. Dolan made two saves and Budri had one save to complete the shutout.
Freshman goalie Olivia Harrington made nine saves in the loss and sophomore Maddie Conners had five of her own.
Coast Guard closes out their regular season next Saturday, April 17 at 1 PM on the road at Wheaton.
Before the game, Coast Guard honored their seven seniors: Mary Budri, Etta Davis, Rebecca Dolan, Mary Ellis Goins, Haley Howard, Haley McCue, and Rachel Piche for their hard work and dedication to the program.
