The Engineers got on the board with just 20 seconds left in the half on a 40-yard touchdown pass from Dehning to Dennis Gastel on 3rd and 15 for a 7-0 halftime lead.

MIT would score on its first possession of the second half on a 10-yard run by Klein to make the score 14-0.

Coast Guard answered right back on the touchdown pass from Armentrout to Wall in the corner or the end zone with 8:42 left in the third cutting the deficit to 14-7.

Coast Guard would again come up empty as Gozelski blocked his second field goal of the game with 4:38 left in the third.

The Bears would march 67 yards pushing the ball inside the 10-yard line as they tried to tie the game, but a bad snap pushed the Bears back to the 28 where they would turn it over on downs with 14:49 left.

MIT would intercept Armentrout on the next two possessions as Adam Zimmerman intercepted him with 12:05 left before Grant Bordelon's interception with 6:58 remaining.
