Box Score BEVERLY, Mass. -- Amanda Dake and Sophia Galdamez each had a match-high 15 kills leading Coast Guard to a 3-1 win over Endicott in a non-conference game.
The Bears dropped the opener 25-22 before winning 25-21, 25-23, 25-19 to improve to 15-6 on the season while Endicott dropped to 16-8.
Dake would add 13 digs and a match-high four aces in the win for Coast Guard.
Maddie James added seven kills and five blocks while Noelle Tursky led the way with 44 assists to go with 10 digs. Kaela France led the Bears with 17 digs.
Endicott raced out to a 7-2 lead in the opening set and never trailed winning 25-22 The set was tied at 9-9. The Gulls used a 4-1 spurt to open up a 16-12 lead.
In the second set, Coast Guard used a 5-1 run to take a 13-7 lead. The Gulls would score four straight late cutting the deficit to 21-19 before the Bears won 25-21.
Coast Guard led 14-12 in the third and scored five of the next six for a 19-13 advantage. Endicott would close to 20-18 and cut the deficit to 24-23 before a kill by Galdamez won the set for the Bears.
The Bears would jump out to an 8-2 lead in the fourth had the lead trimmed to 15-11, but never looked back closing out the match with a 25-19 win.
Coast Guard is back in action on Tuesday night when they host WPI in a NEWMAC match at 7:00.
