CORTLAND, N.Y. – Coast Guard dropped a pair of matches at the Cortland Red Dragon Classic.

Fredonia beat the Bears 3-1 (25-23, 25-20, 22-25, 25-16) in the first match of the day.

Sophomore Angelou Dunton led the way with 14 kills while freshman Bridget Boyle added 12 kills for the Bears.

Senior Michelle McGill had a team-high 11 digs while sophomore Makenna Martin led the way with 33 assists.

Coast Guard was blanked 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-23) by Vassar to close out the tournament.

Dunton earned a spot on the All-tournament team.

The Bears (2-2) are back in action on Wednesday night when they host Trinity in the home opener at 7:00.
