Box Score BEVERLY, Mass. -- Endicott trailing 13-9 scored the final six points of the fifth and deciding set to knockoff Coast Guard 3-2 in a non-conference match.
The Gulls won 25-21, 23-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13 to improve to 16-8 on the season while the Bears dropped their second straight five set match to drop to 13-7 overall.
Sophomore Madison Scott had a match-high 17 kills while hitting .400. Junior Susan West added 15 kills and 11 digs and sophomore Summer Adams finished with ten kills.
Sophomore Michelle Gill had 23 digs to lead the Bears while senior Maggie Hine registered a career-high tying 51 assists to go with 12 digs.
"Endicott played a great match tonight and we are doing the right things to put us in the position to win," said Coast Guard head coach Mike Bynon. "We just need to execute at crucial times. Eventually we will start learning from losses like this."
The Bears are back in action tomorrow when they travel to Lasell to play the host Lasers at 11:00 and Suffolk at 1:00.
