LAST MEETING: Sophomore Meghan Fornaro led the Bears with 14 points and seven rebounds as Coast Guard cruised to a 57-34 win over Mount Holyoke.

Sophomore Torie Sutherland added 12 points while senior Brittney Zimmerman had a game-high five assists for Coast Guard which won its third straight. Junior Dani Knox had eight points and six rebounds off the bench for the Bears.

Junior Kate Karraker had a game-high 17 points to lead Mount Holyoke.

Coast Guard led 29-14 at halftime and the Lyons would only get as close as 13 on several occasions during the second half.

Mount Holyoke closed to within 43-30 with 9:46 left before the Bears put the game away by scoring 12 straight to take a commanding 55-30 lead following a basket by junior Dani Knox with 4:54 left.

LAST GAME: Junior Dani Knox had ten points and a career-high 13 rebounds off the bench, her third double-double of the season leading Coast Guard to a 60-37 win over archrival Merchant Marine.

Knox, who had all ten of her points in the first half, registered her third double-double of the season and second in the last three games as Coast Guard snapped a two-game slide.

Sophomore Meghan Fornaro led Coast Guard with 13 points while junior Alexi Howland added ten points and a game-high four steals off the bench for the Bears.

Junior Brittney Zimmerman, in her final year of eligibility, has moved within striking distance of her 1,000th career point as she finished the night with seven points to give her 981 for her career between Delaware Valley College (543) and Coast Guard.

SERIES HISTORY: Mount Holyoke owns a 17-10 lead in the all-time series which dates back to the 1998/99 season although Coast Guard has had the Lyons' number of late, winning each of the last three meetings between the two schools.

SCOUTING COAST GUARD: Coast Guard returns home after a stretch which saw them play five of six games on the road, while going 3-3.

Torie Sutherland leads the Bears with 12.2 points per game. Sophomore Meghan Fornaro checks in at second, also averaging in double figures at 10.7 per game.

Sutherland is tops in shooting on the team at 38.3 percent from the floor and is second on the team, shooting 28.4 percent from 3-point range (25-88).

Dani Knox leads the team with 7.0 rebounds per game while Sutherland Kaitlin Ward are second and third, clearing 6.8 and 6.1 boards per contest, respectively.

Junior Brittney Zimmerman, who is averaging 9.3 points per game, leads the Bears in both 3-point field goal percentage (33 of 91/ 36.3 percent) and assists with 88.

Coast Guard is shooting 35.7 percent from the floor and 27.5 percent from behind the arc (101-360). They are averaging 61.8 points per game while allowing just 52.9 points per game.

SCOUTING MOUNT HOLYOKE: The Lyons have lost three in a row and 16 of 18 after starting the season 3-0.

Amber Legare is averaging a team-best 14.9 points and 10.6 rebounds per game for the Lyons.

Jennine Vizcaino leads the team with 2.5 assists per game while DeMarchena's 40 steals lead the club in that category.

DeMarchena (5.3 ppg) is second on the team with 8.8 boards per game while Kate Karraker is the only other Lyon averaging double-figure points with 13.9.

Mount Holyoke is shooting 34.3 percent from the field and 31.5 percent from 3-point range (74-235).

UP NEXT: Coast Guard will begin a two-game road trip when they take on Smith on Saturday at 2 p.m.

STAT OF THE DAY: Coast Guard averages 64.8 points in their 15 wins this season but only 52.2 per game in their five losses.
