United States Coast Guard Academy

Anthony Occhialini is entering his 11th season with the U.S. Coast Guard Academy men's soccer team, fulfilling the role of goalkeepers coach. Occhialini joined the Bears in 2014 and briefly departed in 2019 to be head coach of his alma mater, Montville High School, before returning to New London in 2022.

A 2009 graduate of Montville and a 2013 graduate of Central Connecticut State University, Occhialini played soccer at both institutions. At Montville, he was a three-time All-Eastern Connecticut Conference (ECC) selection, two-time All-State selection, and a 2008 All-American He was named the MVP of the 2008 National High School Soccer All-Star Game. Coach Occhialini earned his Bachelor's in Education at Central Connecticut, where he made the Northeast Conference (NEC) Academic Honor Roll all four years and helped the Blue Devils secure NEC regular season title in 2011.

Occhialini beings coaching experience from multiple levels. As head coach at Montville, the boys’ varsity soccer program compiled a record of 25-9-4. In both 2019 and 2021, the Wolves secured state tournament and ECC Tournament berths, with the 2021 team winning an ECC divisional title.
