Anthony Occhialini returns to the academy for the 2024 soccer season.  He is entering his ninth season at the United States Coast Guard Academy fulfilling the role of goalkeeper coach for the men’s soccer team.

Occhialini is a 2009 graduate of Montville High School and 2013 graduate of Central Connecticut State University. Both of which he was a member of the mens soccer programs. He was a three-time All-Eastern Connecticut Conference (ECC) selection, a two-time All-State selection, a 2008 All-New England, and 2008 All-American in high school for Montville. He was also named the MVP of the 2008 National High School Soccer All-Star Game.

Anthony earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at Central Connecticut State University where he was a member of the Northeast Conference (NEC) Academic Honor Roll all four years. The Blue Devils won the mens soccer NEC regular season championship in 2011.

Anthony has had experience coaching soccer at all levels.  One of these experiences was head coach of his alma mater, Montville High School, from 2019-2021. The boys varsity soccer program within those three years finished with a record of 25-9-4 (.710), two state tournament berths (2019/2021), two Eastern Connecticut Conference tournament berths (2019/2021), and an Eastern Connecticut Conference Tournament Championship and Divisional Title in 2021.

Occhialini looks forward to continue supporting the growth of the goalkeeper unit and men’s soccer program at the United States Coast Guard Academy.”
