Coach Bell enters his first season on the Coast Guard baseball staff, Tommy will have responsibilities on the recruiting front and will work with the infielders and hitters on the team.
Prior to CGA, Bell was a graduate assistant coach at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. He was also a coach at the 16/17u level for the Virginia Blasters, a travel baseball team in Virginia Beach, VA.
On the field, Tommy excelled at Division 1 Old Dominion University. In over 220 games played, he had a .287 average and hit 22 home runs while manning shortstop for the Monarchs. An accomplished student-athlete on and off the field, Bell was on the Dean's List each year he was in college. In 2021, he was named the Conference USA Tournament MVP and made the conference All-Academic team.
Bell holds a graduate and undergraduate degree from Old Dominion University, completing his Master of Science in Secondary Education in the fall of 2023.
