MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the United States Coast Guard Academy Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to forge the optimal athletic experience for all Coast Guard Academy student-athletes.  With a broad range of representatives from each of the Coast Guard Academy's varsity athletic teams, the SAAC aims to create an athletic platform that allows student athletes to utilize their leadership potential.  The Coast Guard Academy SAAC believes community service is paramount; "committed to service above self." Another priority is to increase student attendance for all Varsity level sports; showing the upmost support between cadets and cadet athletes. Creating a positive environment for both its student athletes and the community, CGA SAAC hopes to set an example along with the entire NEWMAC conference of holding academics along with athletics at its highest standard, and representing the Coast Guard to the best of their ability.

SPORTSMANSHIP STATEMENT

Welcome to the United States Coast Guard Academy.  We at the Academy promote an environment of good sportsmanship through our core values of honor, respect, and devotion to duty.  We ask that all athletes and fans support our core values on and off the [field, court, track, mat, pool, ice, pitch, etc.]

by refraining from making disparaging remarks or singling out athletes and coaches by name or number.  Please support participants and officials in a positive manner.  Profanity, derogatory comments or other intimidating actions directed at officials, student-athletes, coaches or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition.  Also, consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited

We would like to thank all coaches, trainers, officials, and fans for supporting our athletes' hard work and their dedication to the sport. Go Division III Athletics. Go NEWMAC and Go Bears!
