NEW LONDON, Conn. –

After a historic career and exceptional season, Coast Guard wrestler and recent graduate Carl DiGiorgio (Doylestown, PA) has been named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Second Team Academic All-American. 

DiGiorgio finished his career as a four time All-American and a winner of over 100 matches, he can now add Academic All-American to his mantle. He is the first Academic All-American in any CGA sport since Men's Lacrosse player Logan Tobias in 2022. 

In order to be considered for All-American status, athletes must have a cumulative GPA over 3.50 and excel both on the field of play and off, with each athlete required to show community service.
