PROVIDENCE, R.I. –
With the big NEWA Dual Championships coming up tomorrow, Coast Guard travelled to Johnson & Wales for the Wildcat Open today.
On the day the Bears had two first place finishers: 165
Landon Kearns(East Brunswick, NJ) and 197
Kenny Marra(Salem, OH). For both Kearns and Marra, the second place finishers in their respective classes were also from Coast Guard.
Agustus Edwards(Glenpool, OK) at 165 and
Kevin Pandorf(Elmer, NJ) at 197. Coast Guard dominated the 165 weight class with the teams lone 3rd place finisher
Thomas Rhodes(Last Forest Park, WA) also coming from that class to give CGA the one, two, and three spots on the podium.
The Bears had five fourth place finishers:
Ryan Boyer(Little Silver, NJ) at 174, Alex Hoffman(Lewisburg, PA) at 174,
Nicholas Marck(Aldie, VA) at 157,
Joey Miranda(South Harrison, NJ) at 157, and
Dom Moyer(Milford, PA) at 141. Their lone 5th place finisher on the day was
Tye Barker(Las Cruces, NM) at 165.
The Bears will be back at it at Johnson & Wales tomorrow for the NEWA Dual Championships starting at 9:30 AM.
