oCoast Guard handily defeated Worcester State 14-3 in a non conference battle. With the victory the Bears improve to 12-7. The Lancers fall to 5-12.
Lead off hitter
Wyatt Duthu led the way for the Bears with four runs and three hits including a two run homer. Nate Stafford and
John Tacchini added three hits of their own for the victorious Bears.Â
CGA trailed 1-0 early but immediately stormed back in the bottom of the 1st with a two RBI single by Tacchini to score Duthu and
Carson Cho. They would not relinquish the lead.
On the mound, the Bears thrived in a bullpen game. RJ Priddy earned the win with two innings pitched.
Jack Gausselin struck out four in his two innings pitched.
Tyler Michalek,
Blaise Oeding, and
Jackson Dorsey each rendered the Lancers hitless in their outings and
Bode Dykens finished the game with a scoreless 9th.Â
The Bears will next play on the road at WPI Saturday April 13th in a doubleheader starting at 3pm.
