Lyman Breaks Two More Pool Records in Men's Swim & Dive's Win vs. RWU

NEW LONDON, Conn.  -  The Coast Guard Academy men's swimming & diving team defeated Roger Williams University this afternoon, 161-94.

Coast Guard remains undefeated so far at 5-0, while RWU falls to 0-3.

Among the top performers was Coast Guard senior Sean Lyman. The captain outdid his pool record-setting performance in yesterday's 500yd freestyle vs. Wheaton College (Mass.) with two more pool record-breakers, swimming a 9:33.78 in the 1000yd freestyle and a 4:07.48 in the 400yd individual medley.

Outside of Lyman, Coast Guard won nine other events. Colin Twiss took first place in the 200yd and 100yd freestyle races; Zach McGowen won the 100yd and 200yd backstroke events; Jinnosuke Suzuki won the 200yd butterfly; Noah Reice won the 50yd freestyle; Blaise Minckler won the 200yd breaststroke; the team of Michael CardenJohn KaletaCharles Gaines, and Reice won the 200yd medley relay; and the team of Reice, McGowen, Gaines, and Twiss won the 400yd freestyle medley relay.

The Bears are back in the pool next Saturday against Connecticut College at noon. The dual is hosted by Wellesley College due to the women's team's tri-match with the Camels and the Blue.
