NEW LONDON, Conn. –

In their first home meet of the season, the Coast Guard's Women's Swim and Dive team defeated the Wheaton Lyons 173-111. 

For Wheaton, it is their first loss of the season, dropping them to 3-1. They will compete vs Springfield College tomorrow on the road at 11:00 AM. 

Much like last weekend's victories at the WPI Invite, the Bears dominated their opponent. They had nine first place finishes: 50 Yard Freestyle(Samantha Halvorson), 100 Yard Breaststroke(Ellie Hiestand), 100 Yard Butterfly(Madelyn Paxton), 200 Yard Butterfly(Megan Doubrava), 200 Yard Backstroke(Colleen Read), 200 Yard Breastroke(Hiestand), 200 Yard IM(Paxton), 200 Yard Freestyle Relay(Kathleen O'Shea, Ellie Hiestand, Tailyn Schaufelberger, & Samantha Halvorson), and 400 Yard Medley Relay(Madelyn Paxton, Tailyn Schaufelberger, Grace Keogh, & Samantha Halvorson). 

The 5-0 Bears will host a tri-meet with Roger Williams and Kean tomorrow at 12:00 PM.
