NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Men's Basketball Team hosted Emerson in a conference match-up Wednesday night, getting a tough loss with a final of 83-65.
Despite the tight game for the first part of the opening 20, the Bears struggled to get shots to fall past the 10 minute mark. CGA had to claw its way back from a 15 point deficit with only two and a half remaining.Â
The Bears were able to cut the lead down to 10, heading into halftime with a score of 39-29.Â
Coming out of the break, Coast Guard continued to have struggles on the floor. The Bears quickly found themselves down by 16, ultimately getting into a hole they couldn't come out of.Â
Elijah Parent led the Bears in scoring with 15, followed by
Trevor Parks with 10.
Luke Farrell led in rebounds for CGA with seven, with
Jordan Frazer grabbing five.Â
Coast Guard will next go on the road to take on WPI on January 27th at 2 PM.
