SWARTHMORE, Pa. - In the second game of the season, Men's Soccer came up just short in the matchup against Swarthmore, falling 2-1. 

Despite shooting 11 times in the first half, the Bears were unable to connect and find the back of the net. While Swarthmore did take the lead in the first 17 minutes of the game, Coast Guard was able to hold them to the lone goal in the first 45 minutes.

The second half, CGA was able to tie up the game off a goal by Jude Sargent in the 52nd minute, assisted by Charles Fish. 

All tied up at one, Coast Guard was unable to complete the comeback as Swarthmore scored in the 67th minute, which would ultimately be the winning goal. 

Jake Fish had two shots on goal, followed by Jude Sargent with one, and CGA's tying goal.

Coast Guard will be back at it against rival Merchant Marine on September 7th at 5 PM.
