BABSON PARK, Mass. - The Bears traveled to Babson this weekend in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play  and would end up falling 2-0 after the Beavers scored twice in the opening 14 minutes of the match.

In the first two minutes of the game, the Beaver were able to find the back of the net and lead 1-0 right out the gate. 

The Beavers would shoot seven shots straight on the Bears before finally getting another past goalie Emily Scharnitzky for a 2-0 score in the first.

In the 55th minute of the game, CGA almost cut its' deficit in half when Teal Wasson crossed the ball through the box to Chase Merrick who shot the ball towards the goal. Unfortunately for the Bears, this shot went right off the left post and then out of bounds. 

While the Bears fell 2-0 to the Beavers, Scharnitzky recorded a season best of 16 saves on the day for her team.

CGA Women's Soccer is back at it this Wednesday at 6 PM where they will play Trinity at home. Also for the Bears, this Friday they will host their Annual SPARS Game against Emerson with kickoff at 3 PM.
