CHESTER, Pa. - Men's Soccer opened up the season on the road facing Widener, dropping the match, 2-1.
Despite the Pride getting on the board first in the 12th minute of the game, the Bears didn't allow them to have the lead for too long. CGA tied the game in the 18th minute off a goal by
Jude Sargent, with the assist credited to
Aidan Miles.
For the next 68 minutes, the teams traded shots without any result. Ultimately, in the 86th minute, Widener scored and Coast Guard fell just short.
CGA led in shots with 10, while WU had 6. The Bears recorded four on goal, compared to the Pride's two.
Coast Guard will be back at it again on September 3rd, at Swarthmore at 11 AM.
