NEW LONDON, Conn. – The United States Coast Guard Academy Athletics Department is pleased to announce its new partnership with SIDEARM Sports. The official home of CoastGuardAthletics.com will launch Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
As Coast Guard transitioned in a new Sports Information Team in the beginning of 2023, the decision was also made within the department that the home of CoastGuardAthletics.com needed a refresh and update as well. SIDEARM Sports is the leading digital fan engagement platform for the biggest brands in sports, so for the Athletics Department the change to SIDEARM Sports was a no-brainer.
According to Athletic Director Dr. Dan Rose, "The U.S. Coast Guard Academy is excited to announce our new partnership with SIDEARM Sports. The new look of CoastGuardAthletics.com brings a more user-friendly design so that student athletes, sports teams, and the Athletics Department as a whole can be promoted more efficiently and effectively. SIDEARM's new design provide users with a site that's easier to navigate and access across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
Coast Guard will also be utilizing another one of SIDEARM's tools. In the future, Bears fans will get to experience CGA's very own app which will most likely be dropping this October.
