Softball Falls in Final Game of NEWMAC Tournament

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --  On Saturday, Coast Guard Softball played Babson in the New England Women and Men's Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament and would just fall 2-0. 

The Beavers would score one in the first inning and the third. Bears would hold them the rest of the game. 

CGA's Christine Carey would hit a solo-triple in the bottom of the first, but the Bears could not get Carey in across home plate. Carey's hit would be one of the Bears only hits of the game. 

Isabelle Shroyer would throw three strikeouts in the circle in two innings pitched and Dana Walker would have six strikeouts in four innings pitched. 

Bears finish out the season 13-5 in the NEWMAC and 31-11 overall. Bears will be back in action for the 2024 season.
