NEW LONDON, Conn. - Today, Coast Guard Women's Soccer hosted the Wellesley Blue in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game which ended in a draw, 0-0.
In the first half, Bears out shot the Blue six to two. Neither team could find the back of the net in the first.
The second was much of the same. CGA had eight shots while Wellesley only had two. Once again, neither team would be able to get on the scoreboard.
Emily Scharnitzky would finish the game with two saves for her team, while Wellesley's keeper Sascha Fleesler would save four shots from the Bears.
Coast Guard Women's Soccer will continue NEWMAC play and host MIT this Wednesday, October 11th, at 7 PM.
