NEW LONDON, Conn. - Yesterday, Coast Guard Men's Soccer traveled across the street to play the Connecticut College Camels in a non-conference matchup. The Bears would fall 3-0.
Both teams started out slow offensively. At 14:22 into the game, Conn.'s Marco Cerezo took the first shot of the game, but Coast Guard's keeper
Josh Hudson would make the save.Â
At 25:20 into the first, Matt Scoffone scored for the Camel's off of a penalty kick to take the 1-0 lead.Â
The Bears got their first on target shot off at 38:08, but unfortunately for CGA this was saved by the Camels' keeper. At the half, Bears trailed by one.
At just five minutes into the second, the Camels doubled their score. The Camels continued to put pressure on the Bears and added another goal at 73:17 into the game.Â
The Bears were out shot 22-4 against the Camels. not able to connect on any of their four shots. They would ultimately fall 3-0.
Josh Hudson recorded five saves on eight shots for the Bears. CGA was paced by
Miquel Penella, who recorded two shots, with one on goal.
Bear will look to redeem themselves this Saturday, October 14th against Rhode Island College. Kickoff is set for 4 PM.
