Bears Fall to #6 Clarmont-Mudd Scripps

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Clarmont-Mudd Scripps, ranked 6th nationally, improved to 13-0 on the season with a 9-0 win over Coast Guard at Wesleyan.

The Stags won all six singles matches in straight set with Tom Hackett at No. 1 singles coming the closest with a 6-4 loss in set one before dropping the second set 6-0.

Kyle Fager lost 6-1, 6-0 at #2 singles, Arthur Wicke fell 6-2, 6-0 at #3, Chris Lansing lost 9-0, 6-2 at #4, Jack Phillips lost 6-2, 6-2 at #5 singles and Lucas Arora lost 6-1, 6-1 at #6 singles.

Hackett and Phillips lost 8-3 at #1 doubles, Fager and Lansing were beaten 8-1 at #2 doubles while Wicke and Arora dropped and 8-1 decision at #3 doubles for the Bears, who drop to 2-3 on the season.

Coast Guard is back in action on March 29th when the Bears host Eastern Nazarene at 3:30.
