NEW LONDON, Conn. – Coast Guard fell to region power Brandeis 8-1 on Saturday afternoon in nonconference action.
The Bears one win of the day came from sophomore John Hu who topped freshman Zach Cihlar in straight set 7-5 and 7-5.
Freshman Tom Hackett had a tight match with junior Brian Ganoff as he took the first set 7-6 but dropped the final two 6-1 and 6-2. Junior Weston Fortna also went three with freshman Tyler Ng as he took the first set 6-3 but fell in the final two 6-2 and 6-2.
On the doubles side sophomore Ben Errington and Hackett had the closest match as they fell to senior Danny Lubarsky and junior Brian Granoff 8-5.
The Bears are back in action on Wednesday March 30th as they play cross town rival Conn. College at 3:30 pm.
