NEW LONDON, Conn. – Connecticut College swept the singles matches en route to an 8-1 win over host Coast Guard in a match moved to Coast Guard and played indoors in the Roland Fieldhouse due to weather.

The Bears doubles team of Mark Guentert and Weston Fortna recorded the only win for the Bears at #1 doubles with an 8-6 victory.

Robert Renfrow and Michael Melampy lost a close match 8-6 at #2 doubles.

In singles action, Renfrow won the first set 6-3 at #1 singles but dropped the next two 6-3, 6-3.

The other five singles matches were in straight sets.

Conn. College won its fifth straight to improve to 6-3 on the season Coast Guard drops to 3-3 on the season.
