NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Brandeis won five of the six singles matches and beat Coast Guard 7-2 in a non-conference match.
Robert Renfrow won at #2 singles for Coast Guard 0-6, 6-2 6-2 while the Bears #1 singles team of Mark Guentert and Weston Fortna won 8-6 for the Bears other point in the match.
Coast Guard drops to 1-4 on the season and the Bears are back in action on Tuesday when they host Johnson & Wales at 3:30 p.m.
